Pasta with berries – a surprising duo
Food pairing is still a popular topic among home cooks and gourmet chefs alike. That’s because contrasting combinations open the door to new flavour worlds and make even familiar aromas shine in a new light.
Summer Combinations
Pasta is an all-time favourite, and we all know it with a hearty Bolognese, creamy Carbonara, or vegetarian Napoli. But how about something sweet today? Especially during berry season, it makes perfect sense to reach for blueberries and the like to create a delicious taste surprise.
The sweetness pairs well with the mild flavour of the pasta; with a pinch of salt, this contrast is emphasised even more. A feast for the senses, because with this combination, the eyes eat too — the berry sauce looks that beautiful on the plate.
This quick pasta dish is definitely a summer recipe with wow factor at the table. And we think: this is definitely one to try!
